Donna Roesel, Mokena

How did you hear about LWAC, and when did you join?

I am a charter member- so way back when Chuck Stark contacted former students about starting a community choir, decided to give it a try and still loving it 25 years later.

When did you start singing, and what does singing in LWAC mean to you personally?

I have sung for as long as I can remember- as a child and adult in church choirs, also in grade school and high school choirs. But the opportunity to join an “adult” choir 25 years ago was beyond my dreams. Renewing some old friendships and making new is only part of the fun. For me, music is often times the words or prayer I can’t say. There is always a song for every situation- funny to sad.

Who is your favorite artist or genre of music, or currently on your Playlist?

I usually listen to country: Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, and Kenny Chesney.
